Good Steward Grant
Hennepin County is now accepting Good Steward Grant applications through November 14, 2023.
These grants typically support smaller conservation projects such as constructing rain gardens, stabilizing stream banks, restoring native vegetation, installing vegetated filter strips, or implementing other best management projects. The typical funding amount is $10,000 to $20,000; maximum funding amount of $25,000.
Goff Public Pro Bono Nonprofit Communications Training Program
The Goff Comms Cohort – will provide an opportunity to learn about advocacy and communications from the experts at Goff while networking with peers. This program will help leaders learn how to develop effective messaging; identify strong, media-ready stories; be a confident spokesperson; and advance civic and policy goals.

Lyndale Ave Walking Tour
As part of the Lyndale redesign engagement efforts, project staff are hosting a walking tour along a portion of the project area. This is an opportunity to get an up close, active look at the corridor with insight from the project team about what’s possible through the project. Bring your bike, a stroller, or just a good pair of shoes, but be sure to bring an open mind and a willingness to share your thoughts.
Gandhi Mahal Garden Beautification Day
Help us make the former Gandhi Mahal site beautiful! Longfellow Community Council, Lake Street Council, Holy Trinity and Redesign Inc. are gathering on Monday, September 25th from 2:00-6:00pm for a community clean up. We’ll be picking up trash and debris at the former Gandhi Mahal Site, 27th Ave South between Lake Street and 31st Street. Right next to the new post office.
