The Minnesota Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce ChamberHealth, a new health insurance program that features a variety of affordable benefit offerings to help businesses contain costs, improve satisfaction, and enable a healthier and more productive workforce.

Partners in ChamberHealth include Medica and UnitedHealthcare, each offering distinct plans through an open broker network.  Open enrollment for ChamberHealth is now available with coverage beginning January 1, 2023.  Plan benefits may include: 

  1. Lower premiums

  2. Small to mid-sized businesses can access features and benefits typically available only to large companies

  3. Access to local doctors, hospitals, and other providers

  4. Providing an employee benefit to attract a retain top workers

ChamberHealth by Medica is a fully-insured Association Health Plan (AHP), especially designed for companies with at least two employees and an industry classification in one of three areas:  manufacturing, finance and insurance, or professional, scientific, and technical services.  ChamberHealth by Medica offers a portfolio of eight plan designs ranging from a $500 deductible PPO plan to a $7,500 deductible health savings account (HSA) plan.  There are a variety of wellness programs available to plan participants, ease of administration for the employer, and Medica is offering a favorable commission structure and financial incentives to brokers.  To review the available plans and networks, visit the pre-enrollment site at WelcomeToMedica.com/ChamberHealth or contact your ARM.  Proposals should be submitted at AssociationProposals@Medica.com

If you fall outside of the three industries above or are looking for an alternative funding solution, a level-funded plan offered as ChamberHealth by UnitedHealthcare may be a good solution.  The program provides an automatic 2% rate savings for companies with 2 to 300 employees and employers will also save through no taxes and fees.  Plan participants have access to wellness programs and services and bundled rates through dental and vision are also available to increase premium savings.  To learn more about the plan offering, reach out to MNChamberHealth@uhc.com.
