Public Hearing on the 2025 Minneapolis Budget
The Minneapolis City Council will be holding its first Public Hearing to receive input from residents and business owners on Tuesday, Nov. 12th, 2024 at 10 AM in Room 350, Public Service Center at 250 S. 4th St., Minneapolis, MN 55415.

Lyndale Avenue S Concept Options Survey
Hennepin County previously heard your thoughts about how to improve the corridor and which roadway elements you want to see included in the reconstruction. Hennepin County used that feedback, as well as policies, plans, and technical information, to create three corridor design options. This survey asks you to weigh in on these three design options. The three design options include an emphasis on safety improvements, greening, and trees and upgrades for all uses within the corridor.
Lyndale Avenue South Reconstruction Open House
Whoever you are and however you use Lyndale Avenue, now is the perfect time to tell Hennepin County what you think it should look like. Since August 2023, Hennepin County has been gathering your feedback about how you move around the area and taking feedback on what roadway elements you would like to see when it is reconstructed. Now Hennepin County is ready to discuss some of those features and how they would change the corridor.
MNimize Single-Use Plastic Reduction
Single-use plastic items are popular in food service businesses due to their convenience, but these items lead to pollution and continual expenses. The free MNimize program assists food service businesses in switching to single-use plastic alternatives, such as compostable or reusable items.
Hennepin County Business Recycling Grants
Hennepin County is offering Business Recycling Grants to help organizations reduce waste while saving money.
Waste Wise Available to Support in Hennepin County Now
Businesses and nonprofits in Hennepin County can partner with Waste Wise to access grants for recycling and organic recycling bins and other waste reduction projects. Recycling rates increase dramatically when there is a recycling bin placed next to every trash can. Taking the time to make these changes is worth it since commercial organizations pay a 38.5% tax on waste in Hennepin County, but recycling and organic recycling are tax free.
