New Small Business Grant Opportunity
To support economic vitality and foster thriving business communities, 350 $5,000 grants will be awarded to economically vulnerable small business owners, and 25 of the 350 grantees will also be awarded $25,000 Enhancement Grants, allowing business owners the opportunity to further improve their businesses.
$125 million proposed in the Minnesota House of Representatives to support small business recovery
On Wednesday, small business owners and partners from across Minneapolis and Saint Paul – including Lake Street, University Avenue, West Broadway, and 38th Street – testified in support of HF 3028 and SF 3035.
3rd Precinct Community Conversations
Phase I of this community engagement effort will ask, “Should the 3rd Precinct police building be located at Lake and Minnehaha or an alternate site?” Community members are invited to attend one of four meetings in April to offer answers.
Cedar Avenue Reconstruction Listening Sessions
Hennepin County, in partnership with the City of Minneapolis, plans to reconstruct Cedar Avenue between Lake Street and 24th Street East in 2026. Community members are invited to provide their initial thoughts on the project at two listening sessions in March.
Refrigerant Emission Reduction Grants
Minnesota Pollution Control Agency is offering approximately $78,800 for projects to reduce refrigerant emissions. The funding will help recipients replace refrigeration equipment with refrigeration equipment that uses lower global warming potential (GWP).
