Payroll and Bookkeeping Pilot Project for Small Businesses

The City of Minneapolis and partners have launched a Payroll and Bookkeeping Pilot Project to provide free services for one year.

The Project will fully subsidize payroll software and bookkeeping services and training for small business owners with the goal of setting them up for success to be better employers and achieve compliance with the City’s labor standards, all while providing tangible support for small businesses to access more capital.

This project is a step toward addressing the challenges of small business owners, especially immigrant and businesses of color who have been systematically marginalized and disenfranchised, and who have trouble getting access to capital.
