Small Developers Technical Assistance

The Small Developers Technical Assistance Program (D-TAP) supports the advancement of small, BIPOC and women real estate developers in the City.

The D-TAP Small Real Estate Developers Training Class has instructed 229 small developers since the program was launched in 2016. Today, the program has 3 main resources available to participants:

  1. Intro to Real Estate Development Training

  2. Advance Pro Forma Workshop

  3. Small Developer Consulting and Technical Assistance

D-TAP’s goals are to:

  • Build community wealth through real estate

  • Diversify the pool of real estate developers in Minneapolis

  • Increase local ownership of residential and commercial property in Minneapolis

  • Build capacity for developers doing small and mid-sized projects in Minneapolis
