New Nicollet Redevelopment Open House
Timeline
The selected design concepts will be brought to the City Council and Mayor in April 2024 for approval.
New Nicollet Ave and bridge construction will begin in 2025. Demolition of the Nicollet Ave bridge may start sooner, in coordination with 1st Ave bridge work (2024) to minimize impacts to Greenway trail users. Park, commercial and residential development of the site is not expected to begin for several years. More information can be found on the City’s website: New Nicollet Redevelopment
The City of Minneapolis thanks the community for your ongoing involvement with the New Nicollet Redevelopment project. Your feedback has been critical in shaping the design concepts for New Nicollet Ave and the 10-acre redevelopment site. They are excited to share that design concepts have been selected for both, and you can be the first to see these concepts at our upcoming open house.
This is the last open house for this phase of the project where you can check out the selected design concepts, enjoy free refreshments, do some fun activities, and have the opportunity to talk to project staff.
