City of Minneapolis ReImagining Public Safety

The City’s Office of Performance & Innovation teamed up with the Behavioral Crisis Response team, 311, 911, Traffic Control, Office of Violence Prevention, and Neighborhood & Community Relations for an awareness campaign called Reimagining Public Safety. The videos feature City staff and spotlight community members. They’re produced in multiple languages, including HmongSomaliSpanish and English.

The Office of Performance & Innovation launched the social media campaign this summer on all of the City’s social media channels, including FacebookTwitterInstagramNextdoor and YouTube.

In addition to the collection of digital content and radio show appearances, the Office of Performance & Innovation expanded the campaign into the community with a series of large-scale posters. The goal is to draw attention to the City’s unarmed public safety webpage. The posters are located near or in one of the City’s cultural districts where there is high visibility and auto traffic.

You can view the entire Reimagining Public Safety campaign playlist on the City’s YouTube channel.
