Business Support Funding for Creatives in 2022 Through the Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy
The Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy invites Minneapolis based small creative businesses, and arts and cultural nonprofit organizations to apply for business support funding for creatives. Three new funding opportunities are available under a Business Support Funds for Creatives umbrella.

The Verizon Small Business Digital Ready program’s goal is to arm entrepreneurs just like you with a range of free learning courses and a $10,000 grant opportunity.
Sign up and complete at least two courses or coaching events to be eligible to apply for the latest round of grants. Complete your application by June 30th to be considered.
LISC Twin Cities 2022 Developers of Color Capacity Building Initiative
Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) Twin Cities is requesting applications for a second round of the transformational initiative aimed at supporting emerging developers of color who are working to build assets and ownership in historically low-income neighborhoods and communities of color, aligning economic opportunity with place-based investments, and recognizing identity and culture as components of thriving social capital.
Minneapolis Minimum Wage Ordinance
On July 1, 2022, the minimum wage in Minneapolis is going up to $13.50 at small businesses and $15 at large businesses.

Co-op Feasibility Class Registration Summer 2022
The City of Minneapolis is offering a class for groups interested in starting or growing a cooperative or converting an existing business into a cooperative. The class will equip participants with tools to evaluate their co-op idea and/or refine their model for those that are already in the process of incorporation. It is recommended that more than one representative from a co-op attend the course and that at least one of the same members attends each class. This class is not for developing housing cooperatives.
LEDC Taco Tour
The Latino Economic Development Center (LEDC) is bringing back its annual Taco Tour on Lake Street for 2022! The primary goal for the 2022 Taco Tour on Lake Street is to bring customers back to Lake Street. It is FREE to participate as a Lake Street business!
