Minnehaha 3000 Survey

The City of Minneapolis wants to hear from you. Take the survey and give your feedback on the proposal to relocate Elections & Voter Services into the former third precinct building, along with a large, 8,000-square-foot ground-floor space for community use. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Next Steps for Minnehaha 3000:

  • Clean up - The City has committed $1.5M for building cleanup, which will begin Spring/Summer 2024. The work includes:

  1. Removing fencing

  2. Replacing doors and windows

  3. Interior repairs to elevators and electrical systems

  • Design and Renovation- In 2024, the City is engaging the community to help select a community use for part of the building. If the City Council approves the Democracy Center proposal, the City will move forward with design and renovation.

  • Opening - With this proposal, the building could be open in 2026.
