Hi-Lake Redesign - Open House 9/20

The Hiawatha Avenue and Lake Street intersection (Hi-Lake) is being redesigned to create a safer area where people can move easily—and more often—by walking, biking, rolling and using public transit.

The “tight diamond” layout that will be constructed in 2024 (anticipated) is the result of a robust public engagement process (2017-2019). Recent public engagement (2022) on ideas for added public space under the Hi-Lake bridge has been translated into draft designs, which are depicted below.

You can see drafts designs, and share your ideas for how to make them better, at the Open House on Tuesday, Sept. 20  or take the survey here.
