Help Shape an Opportunity to Increase Access to the Midtown Greenway

Complete a survey to share feedback on design options

Hennepin County, the City of Minneapolis and the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board are considering a new proposal to improve access to the Midtown Greenway near the Lyn-Lake intersection with a new ADA-accessible ramp between Harriet and Garfield.

The new ramp, which would be located within the Soo Line Gardens, would increase access to the Midtown Greenway for people of all ages and abilities. Currently, there is a 1.25 mile gap for ADA access to the Greenway between Uptown and 35W. This new ramp would make it easier for visitors and shoppers to get to Lake Street using the Midtown Greenway, while preserving 95 percent of the current Soo Line Garden space and incorporating new pollinator spaces.

You can share your feedback by completing the survey, either in English or Español (Spanish). The survey is available through December 15, 2023 and should take about three minutes for most people to complete.
