The current plans for this site are to build a multistory commercial complex with affordable incubator space for local entrepreneurs of color and black creative enterprises. The site may also include affordable housing. Construction will begin in 2023, following stakeholder input as well as design and financial arrangements.
The site is currently hosting a number of public events, including the Lake Street Council’s Winter and Summer Block parties.
The Lake Street Council has supported this project through both our Placemaking & Vibrancy Grants and Predevelopment and Acquisition Grants.
